The Dutch VMUG conference needed something more than a standard sizzle reel to open the event — they wanted attendees to feel the energy of the venue before a single speaker took the stage.
The brief
Create a welcome video that could open the conference on the big screen: energetic, professional, and unmistakably tied to the venue itself. No actors, no scripted walkthrough — just the space, shot in a way that felt alive.
The approach
FPV was the obvious choice here. A tripod-mounted camera can show you a room; it can't make you feel like you're moving through it. The plan was a continuous flowing route through the venue — sweeping past the entrance, gliding through the main hall, and rising up over the gathering crowd — captured in long, uncut takes to preserve that sense of momentum from start to finish.

The result
The video opened the conference to a packed room and set an energetic, professional tone right from the first frame. It's a good example of how FPV footage can pull double duty — technically impressive to watch, but also genuinely useful as a practical opening piece for an event.
