Laurens van Duijn

I build websites, mobile apps, desktop apps for Windows and macOS, and tools. From a custom CMS and statistics sites to an app for iPhone and Android and generators for VDI deployment.

I take the whole job on myself: from design and code to release and day-to-day running. I mostly work with PHP, TypeScript and Go, and I build things that last, like ADOfans.nl: a fan site that has been online since 1998 and that I have been maintaining and expanding since 2026.

Energy Companion

An energy dashboard for my own household with dynamic prices. Solar panels, home battery, grid, EV charger, gas and water sit on one timeline, next to the current hourly prices from the power market. It answers questions like: when is power cheapest, and what did the battery actually earn?

  • Live tiles with power, battery level and price
  • Day-ahead prices and advice for the cheapest moments
  • Battery timeline per quarter hour: charging, holding, serving
  • Read-only: the app watches and controls nothing
  • Light and dark, installable on iPhone and Android, behind its own login
