vSphere Web Client error #1009 at Update Manager

With the latest version of vSphere it’s now possible to run updates from the web client, so no more windows desktop vSphere client needed and no more switching clients to do half of the VUM functions..

While updating a vSphere environment to 6.0U2 i came a cross a error.
This happend when i updated the vCenter Update Managers to the latest version.
While configuring the web client and you press the edit button, you will be greeted with an Error #1009.

You can reload this badboy until the sun stops shining and it still won’t work.

This can have 2 causes:
1. The VUM service is running on a local account instead the service account used to setup VUM.
2. You did not reboot the vCenter appliance after updating VUM. (DUH)

A whole appliance reboot is not needed, you can go to the node in question and restart the VMware vCenter Server service of that node.
This can be done at: Administrator > System Configuration > Services

Presto your update manager now works fine.. Happy Patching.
